As i found this to be accurate for me in T6 and still find it to be accurate now here is my version of the points system.
Same rank: 2 points 1 rank below or above: 1 point 2 ranks below or above: 0.5 points 3 ranks below or above: 0.25 points
I am still finding myself at promotion after winning 3 consecutive games against the same ranked opponent.
What is your point system? Post it here so we can have a discussion and see who's is more reliable.
I know in my points system you aren't credited further for beating higher ranked opponents but that's just how it goes.

When I realized that the promotion system is funky I checked up on google to see if someone has figured out its system. I could not find anything. I have thought about many things but a point system. Some time ago I was wondering how much wins would it take to reach a certain rank. I went 75 win streak on ghost battle w/ F.Law and the last win was a promotion to Beserker by pretty much playing with higher ranked CPUs. The reason why I thought this was accurate because it gave me promotions after like 2wins, 5wins, 10wins, ect. However this little point system you came up with seems much more reliable!

Oh i didn't come up with it lol, i just saw someone else say it and i also found it trust worthy On another note don't compare the point system online to offline. Some ranks require more points i heard. Around green to yellow ranks it is 5 points to promote and 5 to demote but near higher ranks the amount of points needed to promote increases.

I also believe that it takes more points to jump to a new set of ranks, for example: 3rd dan to deciple or Pugilist to vanquisher. I have found this numerous times.
I imagine when you have two characters at different ranks (we'll say a 2nd and a 3rd dan) and you play against an opponent with different ranking characters ( Disciple and mentor) , that you will gain points for defeating an opponent of two ranks highier for the 2nd dan and 1 rank higher for the 3rd dan. It seems you will always gain points off of the character that is closest to your rank, however I think it would be unfair to lose points in the same way. Lets say you have a 2nd dan and a 3rd dan, I believe that if you lost to someone who had a Destroyer and a 3rd dan, you would only lose points from the Destroyer. I believe this as it appears to be a much fairer system.

Alright this here point system above makes sense. I tried it again with ArmorKing going ghost battle making progress so fast I was amazed at the amount of Promotions I was getting.

I've been following from one I saw in Tekken Zaibatsu: WIN: Same rank - +1 1 rank above - +1.25 2 ranks above - +1.50 1 rank below - +0.50 2 ranks below - +0.25 LOSE: Same rank - -1 1 rank above - -0.50 2 ranks above - -0.25 1 rank below - -1.25 2 ranks below - -1.50 Some of you may already know this one from Tekken Zaibatsu but in my opinion Jac's system looks better. The one I saw from there sometimes doesn't correspond. I'll try this one from now on.

This is gonna sound stupid, but when did this occur? For me, it sounds stupid for the simple fact that I don't know what you mean! xD

I was asking about the point system, when did this occur? I don't pay no kind of attention and now you know why you barely see any of my questions, most sound stupid.

It's the structure for which promotions/demotions occur.
