Tekken Federation Official Rules
1: Each member is allowed to have one account.
Attempting to work around a temporary or permanent ban or other moderator action is forbidden. This includes making a new account, changing IP addresses, etc. If an alternate account is discovered, you will be asked to deactivate all but one. If the alternate account was used to circumvent moderator action, or you do not comply with the deactivation, the alternate account and any other accounts may be subject to permanent ban.
Offensive usernames are not permitted.
2: Posts are to be made in the relevant thread.
Read before posting. Do not post a topic that has already been discussed and do not derail a topic by posting irrelevant posts or changing the topic. Repeat offenders will be subject to a warning.
3: Members should post in a way that is respectful of other users.
Flaming or abusing users in any way will not be tolerated and will lead to a warning or in extreme cases a ban.
4: Members are asked to not act as “back seat moderators”.
If you feel that a user has broken any of these rules, feel free to bring it to the attention of the staff. DO NOT take matters into your own hands and try to issue any warnings etc.
5: Members should remember this board is aimed at a general audience.
Do not post anything outwardly offensive. This includes pornographic images, images containing offensive or hurtful messages, or offensive language. Offensive posts will be deleted and repeat offenders will be warned.
6: Members are asked to respect the copyright of other users, sites, media, etc.
Discussion of ROMS, Emulators, Crackz, Warez, or any other method of copyright infringement is strictly forbidden.
7: Members should post in a way which is consistent with "normal writing".
Please do not use all capital letters, excessive punctuation, or profuse emoticons in your posts. Severely excessive use will result in the deletion of the post.
8: Members should use an appropriate, descriptive subject when posting a new topic.
The topic title should, in some way, tell us what the topic is. When asking for help, be very specific. "It's broken." is alot less helpful than "DNS Error: 80010712." Repeat offenders will have the topics in question locked and may be subject to a warning.
9: Spam is not tolerated here under any circumstance.
This includes repeatedly posting the same topic in multiple boards, posting multiple threads with the same topic, soliciting for your own site/project, or any form of advertising. Any posts deemed spam will be removed and may be subject to a warning.
10: Members are asked not to revive dead threads.
The act of replying to a thread that has not had a recent reply, or replying to a topic that has completely lost its relevance is called "Necromancy" or "Necro-ing". Do not do this. Any thread that has been necromanced will be locked. Continously practicing necromancy will result in a warning.
11: Members are asked to post in relevance to the topic.
Unless stated otherwise in the original post, posts are to remain relevant to the initial topic. Do not post off-topic material or attempt to derail a thread by continuing to post off-topic material in the same thread. For spontaneous conversation, see the Chit-Chat thread or any relevant thread for the topic.
12: Respect the Team Members of this site.
The moderating, support and other teams reserve the right to edit, remove or put on moderation queue any post at any time. The determination of what is construed as indecent, vulgar, spam, etc. as noted in these points is up to Team Members and not users. Discussions of moderator policing actions are expressely forbidden and will result in a warning. You may raise objections via private messages to the Administrators.
13: The above forum rules where applicable also apply to private messaging.
Abuse of the private messaging system may lead to a warning and/or ban.
14: This site operates on a three strike policy.
Users will be warned a maximum of three times for any and all offenses. If the need arises for a fourth warning a temporary ban will be put in place. The length is depending on the moderators discretion.
15: Raise any objections with Moderator practices with Admins or Global Moderators.
Again, if you feel you were treated unfairly through a warning or other moderator action, contact an Admin or other Global Moderator via PM. DO NOT make a thread to discuss grievances.
We look forward to seeing more community members join and hope to fill in any questions that you have. Enjoy the Tekken Federation forums and have a great day.
