Simply because that moment where you fight Kazuya and it's all dark it just was amazing and you think it's all over then Devil rises and with that mirror effect it's just wow.

Indeed. I think that TTT2 is the best fighting game of the series. That doesn't necessarily mean it's my favorite one. My favorite one is TTT1 but, like Mr.Arse said, if I put nostalgia aside, I can't honestly say that TTT1 is better than TTT2.

My vote goes to TTT2.

I'm looking at it in terms of the game itself. The point that competition has gotten worse or that not a lot of people play it is a valid point but it's not the kind of thing I take into consideration here. That says more about the community than the game itself, I think. I do agree with your point about customization in TTT2. It's nothing special. I don't really agree with the damage output argument, though. A lot of people see it the way you do but I guess I just look at it differently, Zukko.

Yeap Tekken community sucks, if you're not an elitist or making fun of the elitists, you are nothing. TTT2 isn't dead, but is sure as hell isn't thriving, although there isn't a decent Tekken scene in Dublin that's pretty competitive (An example of local-ish competition). A good percentage of people still play it, but just not very seriously. Then again TTT2 is a spin off, hopefully when we return to the main titles the community catches a grip of itself. The worrying thing is I have little interests in other fighters, I guess I'll just have to try them again if Tekken keeps going the way it is outside of Asia. Despite all of this TTT2 is the best game of the series, it just can't get a big following.

Also, most of the competitive Tekken players from T6 play TTT2, so the competitive scene hasn't shifted that much. The only thing that changed in terms of competition was the influx of scrubs since the new game came out. It's not so much that the game is dying, so much as the scrubs with no intent to learn are giving up. With Tekken Smash, Tekken Strike, ATP Live, GreenTekken streams, and everything else going on in the community, this game is more alive than T6 was. 

The only thing really wrong with this game is damage scaling. It's very easy to do a 40% combo, make 1 right guess on oki, launch them, TA, and then kill off the other 60% without them ever getting the option of tag crashing. Before people say "But there's two characters derp", that would only matter if you had to kill both. In this game, you only have to kill one. In T6 it was next to impossible to kill in 1 reset unless you were in the perfect position and got off combo video material.

lol damage scaling is iffy, but that shouldn't stop anyone from playing. I agree that T6 was better in terms of scaling and customization, but i'm not going to play a dead and, for all intent's purposes, irrelevant game over it. TTT2 is fun and deep, regardless.
